Data privacy notice

Western Philippines University collects these details to create your portal account and to match you to your existing university record. Processing is carried out in the exercise of the University's functions as a state university under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).

An administrator reviews your request and can see your name, email address, student or employee number, programme and campus.
Your details are compared against records already held so that you are linked to your existing record instead of a second one being created.
Your sex is used for statistics the University reports under its Gender and Development (GAD) program, such as attendance by male and female. Those reports show totals, not names.
Your password is stored hashed and cannot be read by staff.
If you do not confirm your email address, this signup is deleted after 7 days and nothing is added to the University's records.
